NMA House of Delegates: Upcoming Deadlines
As we approach several key dates in the NMA calendar, we wish to remind all members to take note of the following upcoming deadlines:
- Resolution Submission Deadline: All resolutions must be submitted by June 4th to speaker@nmanet.org and lwhite@nmanet.org. This is your opportunity to voice concerns and propose changes for the betterment of our association. - Delegate Fee Payment: Please ensure that your delegate fee of $75 (for state presidents, region chairs, section chairs and medical schools) is paid by June 30th. Note that payments will not be accepted at the convention. For payment details and to complete this process, please visit our Delegate Fee Payment Page. Please note that Delegate fees may be the responsibility of either the individual or a State Society, depending on the state referenced. All delegates are encouraged to know the method by which payment is expected or to contact the NMA at our national office if you have any questions.
- Officers and Council Reports: All Officers and Council members are reminded to submit their reports by June 30th to HODsecretary@nmanet.org and lwhite@nmanet.org. Timely submission of these reports is crucial for a smooth and productive convention.

Apply Now for 2025-2026 HOD Reference Committees: Deadline June 27, 2025
The Speaker of the House of Delegates (HOD) is soliciting members who wish to be considered for openings on HOD Reference Committees for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. All Reference Committee appointees must be Delegates (and therefore Active Members) throughout their terms of engagement as committee members. Our six Reference Committees are:
- Committee on Amendments to the Constitution & Bylaws,
- Committee on Medical Education,
- Committee on Rules and Order (formerly Rules and Order of Business),
- Committee on Medical Economics,
- Committee on Public Health & Consumer Affairs, and
- Committee on Administrative and Financial Affairs (CAFA).
The mandate of Reference Committees is to review all new resolutions submitted to the NMA/HOD, as well as amendments to prior resolutions needing approval, before their presentation at the upcoming HOD meeting during the National Convention. Terms of office last for two years but are structured so that half of the membership is appointed each year. For additional information, please refer to the NMA Constitution and Bylaws, August 2023, Chap. VIII, Sec. 5 Committees, p. 43.

- Name and Local/State Affiliation
- Are your dues current?
- Committee of Interest (first, second, and third choice, if applicable) and why these are your choices
- Have you ever attended an HOD meeting?
We also appreciate any information about the experience you will bring. The deadline for submission is Friday, June 27, 2025.
