The NMA has received funding from the CDC to support “Because Our Lives Matter (BOLM),” our HIV prevention and education project that is centered on the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) and the Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign. The primary goal of the project is to improve scientifically proven and scalable testing, prevention, and treatment strategies for the most vulnerable HIV population along the entire care continuum. The BOLM activities will provide education on identifying high impact HIV populations living with HIV (HI/HIVPs) who are not aware of their HIV status, linkage to care, retention in case, receipt of antiretroviral therapy, and achieving viral suppression to close HIV health disparities in HI/HIVPs.
