📢 Protecting Medicaid: Why Tomorrow’s Committee Hearing Demands Your Attention

The National Medical Association (NMA) urges all members, healthcare advocates, and community leaders to stand vigilant as a critical federal committee hearing convenes tomorrow, May 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM EDT, to review proposed legislation that would impose sweeping changes to the Medicaid program—changes that threaten to undermine access to care for millions of vulnerable Americans.

The NMA is deeply concerned that these proposed changes will result in devastating cuts to a program that serves as a lifeline for children, older adults, people with disabilities, low-income families, and communities of color across the country.

We urge each of you to call on lawmakers to oppose these harmful cuts.
