A native New Yorker, I attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva New York, after completing a baccalaureate degree from Hunter College. I completed a residency in Obstetric and Gynecology at the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset now known as Northwell Health. As a lifelong learner, I completed the Cornell Johnson Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership. And Policies
Upon completing residency in 1993, I opened a private practice in Manhasset. In 2015, I closed my private practice and then joined Health and Hospital Corporation working in Harlem. After completing that project, I joined NYU Langone where I work as an obstetrical patient safety officer. I currently work for Northwell Katz-LIJ as the Associate Chief of Labor and Delivery in the Department of OB/Gyn. I am also the Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion for the service line for Northwell Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have published numerous articles, continue to do research in the field and have a podcast entitled Empowering Women on All about Us radio. I do a great deal of voluntary work with the Hofstra Medical School, my sorority the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated as well missionary work in Guatemala, Haiti, Africa and so many other underserved areas.
I’ve been featured in several magazines and news broadcast regarding my specialty. I also work as an expert witness for several law firms.
I am married 34years to my husband and we have our son who is 31 years old and autistic and our daughter who 26 years old and is a medical student. I can say that my love for the field of Ob/Gyn keeps me very busy.
